Parks and Open Space Master Plan
TOM GREEN COUNTY, Texas
Tom Green County recognized that, in order to deliver on the promise of an unmatched quality of life for its residents, a diverse network of parks and recreational opportunities would be needed. To advance this strategy, while protecting the community’s cost-of-living, the County recognized that a strategic approach, with a diverse set of funding streams would be critical.
Our SmarterLocalGov team worked with the County to establish a vision for its parks and open space programming, develop strategies to advance the community toward its vision, and created action plans to move the strategies forward. The Plan was approved by Texas regulators, and has supported the County in accessing a wide range of state grant funds.
